Drying

Drying towels made for wet, muddy, wriggling dogs. Hand pockets keep the towel on your hands, not on the floor.

Buying guides

Why a hand-pocket towel beats a bath towel

A normal towel slides off the moment your dog moves. Hand pockets keep it on your hands, so you can hold on and dry at the same time. Thick chenille pulls water out of the fur rather than pushing it around.

Getting the most out of it

  • Squeeze, don't rub. It's quicker and doesn't tangle long coats.
  • Legs and belly last. They're the muddiest, and your dog will put up with them better once the rest is done.
  • Wring it out halfway on a big or very wet dog.

Drying: your questions

What's the best way to dry a wet dog?

Towel at the door before your dog shakes, squeeze rather than rub, and do the legs and belly last. A hand-pocket towel makes it much quicker because it doesn't slip off.

Is chenille good for drying dogs?

Yes. Chenille is made of thousands of soft fibres that grab water from the fur, and it wrings out easily so you can keep going.
